State of Ohio War. Com. Pleas On the 21st day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and thirty four personally appeared in open court Alexander Crawford
and applicant for naturalization who on being duly sworn according to
law deposeth and saith that it is his bona fide intention to become a
citizen of the United States of America, that he will support the constitution
of the United States, that he doth hereby absolutely and entirely renounces
and abjures all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate,
state or sovereignty whatever an particularly he renounces all allegiance
and fidelity to his majesty William the IV. King of the United Kingdoms
of Great Britain, Ireland, Scotland &c. to whom he was heretofore
a subject; and the said Alexander Crawford also saith that he has never
borne any hereditary title, or been of any of the order of nobility in
any country whatever and further saith not. |
