Summary: 

Benjamin H. Corwin, son of Matthias Corwin and Patience Hallock, died intestate in Warren County, Ohio on 22 Jan 1829 leaving a wife and 5 children. The estate papers can be found in Old Common Pleas [OCP] Court Packet 44 #8.
Before the estate was settled, daughter Ann Corwin died on 17 Aug 1833 and wife, Rebecca (Howell) Corwin died on 14 Aug 1833.
On 16 Sep 1833 Joseph Whitehill was appointed guardian for the 3 minor children, Thomas H., Clarissa and Francis D. Corwin.  The oldest child, Mary Jane Corwin was "of age".
Below are a few of the loose papers found in OCP Packet 60 #8 relating to the guardianship.

16 Sep 1833 Guardian Bond

In the Court of Common Please, Joseph Whitehill appointed guardian of Thomas Corwin aged seventeen years Clarissa Corwin aged fifteen years & Francis D. Corwin aged 9 years, of the said county of Warren, children of Benjamin H. Corwin of Warren county deceased.

Joseph Whitehill, William Sellers & John Satterthwaite post $3400 bond.

24 May 1835 Receipt for $10.00 containing signature of Clarissa Corwin

16 Jun 1835 survey by Thomas Clayton of a tract of land in the SE corner of Section 12 Township 4 Range 3 between the Miami Rivers containing 99 acres and 99 square poles.

[Today, this parcel of land can be located on State Route 63 west of downtown Lebanon, Ohio.  The southeast corner of the parcel would begin on the north side of S.R. 63 opposite the intersection of Glosser Road.]

17 Nov 1835 Receipt from County Recorder for recording mortgage

20 Jul 1837 Receipt from J. K. Wilds, Court Clerk, for $12.28 in court costs associated with a petition by Mary Corwin, daughter, to sell the land held by the estate .

[The partition suit can be found in Chancery Court Volume 4 (1831-1834) beginning on page 589.  Mary Jane Corwin had married William Gallaher on 28 May 1834]

19 Oct 1841 Receipt for $494.20 signed by Elijah Elliott to settle the Benjamin Corwin Estate.

Received of Joseph Whitehill Guardian of Clarissa Corwin now Clarissa Elliott Four Hundred and Fifty Seven dollara and sixty cents with thirty six dollars and sixty cents interest thereon being the amount due from the estate of Benjamin H. Corwin deceased to Clarissa Elliott.
