Willie Egan
b. 4 Jan 1870 Lewisburg AR.
d. 12 July 1870 Corwin OH
son of W. P. & Kate Egan

Interment #261 in lot 66 on 12 Jul 1870
photo with 8 May 2014 email from Buford Suffridge who writes,
"Willie was the brother of my grandmother, and of course
would have been my great-uncle, and my great-grandmother had taken him from Lewisburg (now Morrilton) Arkansas to Corwin to visit the grandparents and other relatives. Unfortunately he contracted pneumonia and died while in Corwin. My great-grandfather had not seen him since they left Lewisburg 4-6 weeks earlier for the visit so his mother had his photo taken after his death, and I now have the tin type in my possession (I've attached a copy). After I made my first journey to Corwin/Waynesville back in the early 80's and located all the family graves I was distressed to find that Willie's grave was unmarked. It took me 25 years but I finally got around to having the marker made and bringing it to Ohio.
At the time the Kearney's lived on a farm in Corwin but after Patrick Kearney's death my great-great-grandmother sold the farm and bought a house in Waynesville, later the Dr. Cook home which I believe is now on the National Register. Some stained glass windows in the Episcopal Church are dedicated to family members, including Drew Sweet, the local newspaper man who was married to one of my great-grandmother's sisters. "
